Ground Up & Rising strives to work with creative and talented organizations that will join us in building a solid foundation. Below are details on our collaborations, along with a few links to some informative resources from our friends and colleagues.

STORY OF A SOLDIER,
PROJECT COPERNICUS ARTISTIC COLLABORATION

Project Copernicus and Ground Up & Rising join creative forces to present " Story of a Soldier ", concert experiences in Miami Beach and West Palm Beach that melded visionary classical music and groundbreaking theatre. A performance in two acts, " Story of a Soldier " featured the world premiere of Project Copernicus' Steve Danyew's poignant original composition, " Letters from Iraq ." which incorporates music and performances drawn from four actual letters home written by fallen soldiers of the Iraq conflict. The performance continues with Igor Stravinsky's masterpiece, " A Soldier's Tale ." Stravinsky's work presents the surreal tale of a young, idealistic WWI soldier whose soul is being vied for by the very Devil himself. The concerts commemorate the 5th anniversary of the Iraq War, and honor those fallen soldiers, and all those who are bravely serving our nation.

In addition,

GableStage graciously hosted special performances of Ground Up & Rising's production of "Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train" during the 2007 Thanksgiving weekend.

This ongoing relationship aims to combine the creative forces of both organizations to change the face of the South Florida theatre scene.
